5 Stars Simply perfect 17/02/12

The Civic is still the most striking car on the road with it's futuristic looks - both inside and out. I personally don't find the rear visor a problem, but i would prefer a rear wiper.

Overall having owned 14 cars since passing my test 12 years ago the Civic is most definitely my favourite and i am very proud to own one. I'm hoping Honda keep up the futuristic looks with the new version and - if so - then there will be no question about me buying one in 4 years when this one is paid off.

3 Stars Ear-splittingly noisy! 14/02/12

Having lived with the Honda Civic for a couple of years, I am certainly looking forward to swapping it for a better built car – the noises are horrific!

Squeaks from the pedals, squeaks from the brakes (even though they were checked on several occasions) and the road noise on the motorway is unbearable! These constant noises just made the whole experience with the Civic a little disappointing. It is a shame as the car looks great and does drive pretty well too.

Maybe I have been unlucky and had a bad apple, but I am certainly going for a German manufacturer next time, as I am sure their build quality and reliability will be superior.

2 Stars Stylish, but not a family car 25/01/12

The Honda Civic looks brilliant! The styling is completely unique and I personally do not know of a better looking car within the same category. Unfortunately, there may have been too much emphasis on the styling, as the car falls a little short of my expectations.

There are positives, such as the handling being very responsive and agile, whilst the build quality - in general - is of high quality.

The car however is too firm and sporty to be an all-round family car. Also, although there is plenty of room for the driver, there is little headroom in the rear for any passengers, so the view out of the rear windscreen is very limited.
