About Peugeot Contract Hire

Peugeot Contract Hire is the leasing and finance sector of the Peugeot Motor Company, offering businesses a selection of Peugeot vehicles for fleet purposes. As part of the Peugeot ‘Professional’ range, the services are catered mainly to the commerce sector rather than individual private users. The range is divided up into several sectors, with each one catering to a specific area of the market. From company car drivers, to small and large businesses, each has its specific place among their roster.

Peugeot Contract Hire offer four finance options to their customers, from standard rental options to purchase schemes. Their various plans can be seen below:

Contract Hire

Peugeot’s standard contract hire scheme gives customers a simple, fixed monthly cost rental service where they can take out a fleet without the worry of depreciation or disposal. The fleet will still be under the ownership of Peugeot Contract Hire, meaning that you can enjoy all the benefits of having a fleet without the negative points of actually owning one. Peugeot Contract Hire also offer several optional maintenance packages for this plan, with the package having direct linkage to your finance contract. This means there’s only one bill you need to worry about.

Finance Lease

Finance Lease is the alternative to Contract Hire and is beneficial for those looking to keep their options open. With Finance Lease, the customer typically has two options at the start of their contract. They can either opt to pay for the entire cost of the vehicle over a pre-determined monthly period, or they can pay a much lower monthly rental charge followed by a final payment based on the vehicle resale value.

Lease Purchase

For those who want to buy the vehicle outright but may not immediately have the money available to them, Lease Purchase is the next best alternative. With this option, Peugeot Contract Hire will work out the future value of the vehicle based on its depreciation and allow you to lease it from them according to that rate. Monthly payments are fixed and calculated at the time of the contract, with only one lump sum being handed over at the beginning to secure the deal. At the end of the contract, the customer makes a final ‘balloon payment’ and the car is theirs to own forever.

Hire Purchase

Hire Purchase is the direct alternative to Lease Purchase, giving customers the same payment-based fixed monthly leasing period as the former. APR is set before the contract begins and the fixed period loan is secured against the vehicle in question. The differences with Lease Purchase come at the fact that even during the hire period, you are the registered keeper of the car. This means you are responsible for insurance and maintenance; although optional packages are available. At the end of the contract you are given the option to buy the car, but are under no obligations to do so.
