Geneva Motor Show - Bentley

Created Date: 22/03/2011

The Bentley press conference was very much an eco advertisement. Underlining its eco-credentials for the last year, they highlighted that 90 percent of its production is flexfuel-friendly. No less than 15% had been cut in CO2 emissions across its fleet, and Wolfgang Duerheimer promised even more to come in the future of the company.

In terms of new models, Bentley opted to show off a limited edition Supersports ISR Convertible rather than unveil something totally new. Yes there is already one of these on the market, but this one has been tuned and enhanced even further to get every last drop of juice out of it. Built to commemorate their recent record breaking Ice Speed Record (which they now hold with a speed of 205.48mph), it Carries the same 6.0 litre, twin turbocharged W12 engine as the regular Supersports but squeezes out an extra 10hp to take its total to 631bhp. Cosmetically the same as the standard Supersports on the outside, its main difference is on the inside where the ISR is equipped with red carbon fibre trim, diamond quilted Alcantara accents and the infotainment system from the new Continental GT. On the outside, its only difference is the new 20 inch alloy wheels, which will be available in three colours - Beluga, Quartzite and Arctica White.
