All new Nissan GT-R

Created Date: 09/11/2011

Nissan has launched their third and latest revision of the Nissan GT-R. The key changes made to the GT-R were to the engine, chassis and transmission; these improvements are expected to accentuate the performance and efficiency of the GT-R. The 2012 Nissan GT-R has been built with a newly developed asymmetric suspension and a more efficient twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 engine that generates 530 hp and 488 lb-ft of torque with a fuel economy that has decreased from 12L to 11.8L/100 Kms and better response time.

The new GT-R reaches 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds more than a half-second quicker than before. With a strengthened design of the shift fork arm and a stronger fixing bearing for the flywheel housing, the new GT-R’s shift feel has been greatly refined. The body has been nicely improved with better power and torque. The re-enforcement of the engine compartment and dash panel deliver more responsive handling while a greater sense of the vehicle's grip on the road is transmitted to the driver. Also enhanced is the interior, with the addition of a rear view camera, a blue lighting inside the tachometer ring to match the shift position indicator light giving a more sophisticated atmosphere in the cockpit and an improved sound system with better sound quality.

Nissan has also built a Track Pack version of the New 2012 Nissan GT-R which will only be available in some markets like Japan and UK. The track pack version is built with a two seat configuration which features modified suspension settings, extra brake cooling (front and rear), aluminum-alloy wheels from Spec-V made by Rays (with black quartz chrome color coating) and a front spoiler with carbon air duct which was made specifically for this edition and is installed as a set.The new Nissan GT-R (2012) which will go on sale in November 24, 2011 in Japan, will be arriving in European showrooms in January 2012.
