Honda has announced their lineup of concept cars tagged ‘electromotive concept models’ that will be unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo motor show which will be taking place at Tokyo Big Sight from December 3 to December 11, 2011. The lineup includes three concept cars: the Honda ACX, the Micro Commuter Concept and a Small Sports EV Concept car.
The first of the three cars to be revealed is the Advanced Cruiser-X (ACX) concept car, this is a next-generation five door family plug-in hybrid vehicle which will be built to provide a great driving experience from urban to long-distance driving. The ACX is said to be powered by 127hp, 1.6 litre petrol engine combined with a 120 kW electric motor. Honda is laying a lot of emphasis on the ACX’s ability to drive long distances with ease.

It has a slight resemblance to the Nissan Pivo 3 concept; it is built on a detachable two-wheel EV called the Motor Compo which has a battery that can be unfastened and used as a source of power for other devices.
