Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept - Tokyo 2011 Motor Show

Created Date: 30/11/2011

Subaru has unveiled the Advanced Tourer Concept at the Tokyo Motor show. The new Advanced Tourer Concept is rumoured to be the replacement for the Subaru Legacy.

The new Concept car is a bit smaller than the Legacy in length; it is 4580mm in length while the legacy is 4775mm long. It has been built with a 1.6 litre turbo charged boxer engine with a new CVT gearbox system. Engineers have claimed the engine setup can produce an output to match the 262bhp output of the 2.5-litre turbo.

The front end of the new Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept has a slightly changed adaptation of the well known Subaru angular headlights and grille. The interior is built with wood and polished aluminium surfaces and a full glass sunroof. Also incorporated in the new concept is Subaru’s new eyesight crash avoidance system that helps the driver detect pedestrians, cyclists and monitor traffic conditions using two cameras mounted above the rear view mirror.

With its sleek yet dynamic look, Sporty driveability and environmental friendly option, we can’t wait to find out when the concept will move from just been a concept to an actual production car.
