Vauxhall Reveals All New Small SUV - Vauxhall Mokka

Vauxhall has officially revealed pictures and details of their all new small SUV; an entirely new territory for the British auto-maker. This is a big step for Vauxhall as this launches them into the rapidly growing SUV market. The new small SUV from Vauxhall named Mokka will be unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show which will be taking place in March. Mokka features its fair share of new cutting edge technology like a driver assistance system with a front and rear view camera.
At 4.28 metres long, the new Vauxhall Mokka comes with a choice of either diesel or petrol engine both with start/stop technology and can sit up to 5 adults comfortably. The petrol engine features a 115PS, 1.6 litre naturally-aspirated engine or a 140PS 1.4 litre Turbo with 200Nm of torque while the diesel option features a 130PS 1.7 CDTI turbo with 300Nm of torque. Both the 1.4 Turbo and the 1.7 CDTI can come together either with six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions.
The all new Vauxhall Mokka offers a choice of front or all-wheel drive, six-speed or auto transmissions. It has a sporty look enhanced with 18 inch alloy wheels. Other features that stand out in the new Vauxhall Mokka include an Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TC), a Hill Start Assist (HAS), Hill Descent Control (HDC ) systems both improving driving comfort and safety in uphill or downhill terrain and an Advanced Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL+) which increases driving safety is based on the 3rd generation Bi-Xenon lighting system that includes High Beam Assist (HBA).
According to Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director “The Mokka takes its design cues from larger SUVs and integrates them into a compact, yet modern form ,Vauxhall is growing a compelling and diverse range of products that appeal both to retail and fleet customers, and the Mokka will complement this perfectly”
The all new Vauxhall Mokka looks like one to look out for; it will be available at Vauxhall Retailers towards the end of 2012.
