3 Stars BMW clever on marketing- Poor in reality 24/03/12
By Deacon (Brough)
I'm leasing a BMW 3 series , Its a disappointment, It doesn't grip in the snow or on grass verges, its not stable in tight corners, the dashboard looks retro 70s,the backseat is as stiff a wooden bench , the(eco-dynamic) MPG is average (despite claims)The radio/CD is over complicated and it lacks a spare wheel. Oh bring back my Mondeo
3 Stars Typically great BMW, but with big weaknesses . . . 07/03/12

Everything you would expect from a BMW 3 series; a well built, well balanced car that is great to drive. It is also practical, good looking and reliable.
However, I have two big concerns with my 3 series:
1- I am only getting 29mpg – surely this is cannot be the best on offer? Granted I have a petrol engine but more than 30mpg should be achievable!
2- It is absolutely atrocious in snow!! Being RWD obviously is a hindrance, but a 5 minute trip to the supermarket took me ages, knocking on the door of 1 hour – that’s how bad it is!!
4 Stars Great BMW - as always! 27/01/12

My current lease with the 3 Series Saloon has been really enjoyable; I cannot fault the car or the service I have received.
I have driven BMW cars for the last 15 years (which in itself says how highly I regard their cars) and this car has never let me down in the slightest. Although we do have a second family car, my BMW is used for everything, as it delivers on all fronts. Spacious and practical enough for the family; sporty enough for me to drive on my own. And although I have the Sport Plus edition, I am getting an impressively efficient 47mpg for the long journeys.
My only concern is not with the actual car, but with BMW’s decision to use run-flat tyres. They don’t fill me with confidence, and are incredibly expensive to replace.
4 Stars Knocking on the door of 5 Stars! 26/01/12

Leasing the BMW 3 Series has been a great experience for me to date. The car is splendid; I really am struggling to find any negatives about it. In fact, the only slight negative for me is that - being rear wheel drive - it is not great to drive in the snow! But that could be said for all rear wheel drive cars, so it’s hardly a criticism on the 3 Series.
I chose an automatic version and have been converted; I don’t think I will be going manual again in a hurry. The car is seriously smooth, comfortable and quiet; it’s a great place to be! The boost also means that the power can be delivered when needed, so it’s no slouch either!
5 Stars Leased a diesel and never looked back 20/01/12
By David Tag (Braintree)
In all honesty I had never driven a diesel car; my impression was that all diesels are sluggish and noisy. But I test drove the 3 series diesel Saloon and immediately placed my order for one (which I am currently driving) and i must say, I absolutely love it. It’s very responsive and smooth to drive; I would certainly have another one and would recommend this vehicle to anyone.
I haven’t owned a car for the last 15 years, as leasing is definitely the way forward. The experience I have had in all my years of leasing has been a very good one.
